Welcome to Taunton & District Amateur Radio Club

Situated in the historic county town of Somerset, the club offers a warm welcome to those interested in the use of radio technology as a hobby.

Although primarily focused on licensed amateur radio, members also explore the use of license exempt radio technology and the use of computers / software.

The club meets monthly on the first Tuesday of the month, at the Scout and Guide Centre in Tangier.  Please see the Contact & Visitor Information page for location information.

The club operates a weekly net on Wednesday evenings, initially on 2 m usually 145.400 MHz FM starting at 19:30 local time, then moving onto 70 cm FM using the GB3VS repeater at 20:00 (repeater details on the links page).

Please see the Calendar page for details of the meetings.

The club intends to run a number of field events and these will be added to the calendar in due course.  Members are encouraged to let the committee know of any particular topic, event, contest, etc, that they would like to see included.  Please send your suggestions and offers of help to the Secretary at tauntonarc@gmail.com or via the club's Google Chat group.

Members are invited to review their recent radio / electronics related activities to see how they relate to the Brickworks scheme, and apply for an award certificate if desired, more information at:

For your information.  GB3VS is now on the wide split channel RU67, see under 'links' for more detail.
